Etsy is one of my favorite places. I could get lost on that site and spend and obscene amount of money. I’m a sucker for small businesses and supporting them. I’m a glutton for pretty things. I’m in love with handmade items. So, when I found out about Tag… You’re It Jewelry and their not only handmade things but personalized? ::swoon:: I knew I’d be “supporting their cause” (aka spending money) with them. I asked one of the owner’s Brodi if she did custom listings and she did! I knew just what I wanted and I’ve gotta say, I’m thrilled with the results. I took a few photos on Friday when I received it. If you’re a photography client of mine, you also know I love pretty packaging, so I had to take photos of that!! Here’s how it came to me right out of the recyled mailing packaging. Cute recycled packaging. Adorable logo. Pretty rope to tie it all together. CUTE!!
Opened it to find… This beautiful creation!!
Here’s why I chose this piece. I’ve wanted something that was personalized with the boys names on it for a while. So, when I was browsing Brodi’s site and saw the bird on the branch my heart leapt. My mom’s screen name was Songbird (well, songbyrd, but close enought) and one of her favorite hymn’s that was played at her memorial service was “His Eye is on the Sparrow”. Having the boys names, the bird, and the pearl was perfect. If you knew my mom, you knew she was a lover of pretty things and jewelry. She gave me a strand of pearls before I was married “because every girl needs a strand of pearls”. This piece of jewelry is a sturdy and beautiful hand stamped sterling silver with a sterling silver ball chain. Again, I just adore it. …don’t know if you could tell by the gratuitous photos of it. hehe I tried to take a pic of me wearing it, but it kept looking like a snapshot of my boobs, so I didn’t include that photo in this post. Hey, we’re not that type of blog. haha
Go check out Brodi and her great work!!
