I am Jennifer Mauren Dunlap.  I wear many hats.  I am a wife.  I am a mother.  I am an artist.  In Christmas of 2000 I got a wild idea to do pictures of myself and my two brothers for Christmas presents.   A friend of mine was just learning about photography, so I asked her to take photos of me and my brothers and the family dog on the beach (doesn’t everyone in Florida have at least one set of those).   We didn’t tell my mom we were going to do it.  Christmas morning comes and mom opens a large print from that session and starts bawling.  I honestly think that is the best Christmas present I ever gave.  It’s also the moment I realized how prized photos were.  Sure, I took my little cameras with me when I was in high school and college.  But, it was all about just capturing fun moments.  It all came full circle though, when my son, Carter, was born.  I wanted to capture every.waking.moment.  of his life.  Everytime he so much as looked deeply in my eyes, I wanted to capture that moment and preserve it forever.  It was then I took the leap into photography.  It’s been a whirlwind since then.   It’s now my pleasure to share my gifts with you.

Jennifer Mauren Dunlap resides in Bradenton, FL with her husband and son.  She is also a ballet teacher at Stage Door Studios in Sarasota and a graduate from the University of Florida.
