So, Sunday night I had the most awesome time with L and C.  L is pregnant with their first child and due in August.  We laughed a lot and I just loved their sense of style!  So much fun!  I have the best job, meet the coolest people and get to capture wonderful memories for them!  It was a *little” hot (ahem:  a lot hot) and a bit buggy, but that didn’t stop us!!

I had the pleasure of capturing the sweetness of these precious little boys the other day.  They “christened” my blankets 3 times.  They are worth the extra laundry, though.

Yesterday I met up with the h family to capture the cuteness of Miss H.  She is 5  months and just so sweet.  Precious chub, gorgeous lashes, and a love for music!!  You should’ve seen how she calmed right down when Daddy broke out the guitar!

Phew!  I can’t believe it’s already Friday!!

1.  I started teaching at Stage Door Studios in Sarasota for their summer intensive program, “So You Think You Can Dance” (aka – SYTYCD) and there were 40 dancers there the first day!  WOOT!!  I adore seeing and reaching to all of these kids.  It feels so good to get to share my love of dance with them.

2.  Related to #1, I taught a leaps and turns class on Wednesday.  One word.  YEEEOUUUUCH!!!  I did the warm up with them and even jumped a bit.  My LORD am I sore!!  This mommy body has changed.  “Things shifted during flight”.  The body is not what I left it before I got pregnant with Carter!  The scale may say the same thing, but dadgum it sure feels different!!

3.  Carter busted his lip open last night.  Scared the bejeesus out of me.  It was right before bed and he went to squat down quickly and caught his face on the coffee table on the way down.  He SCREAMED for a good 20 min.  Broke my heart.  Is it possible it hurt me more than him?  Sure felt that way!

4.  I got to photograph the most adorable newborn twins yesterday!  If I ever get this house picked up, I’ll post their sneak peek tonight!  So precious!!

5.  Father’s Day is coming up on Sunday so I just want to say:  Richie I love you so much and seeing you as a father to our son makes me melt with how much you love him.  Dad, you have worked so hard this year to come back strong after your surgery and being strong for mom… I hope you have a fabulous Father’s day.  Ken, thank you for being such a strong father for Richie, he aspires to continue on in your wonderful traditions.  Grandaddy, I hope this year is much more calm this year for you.  Your love of your family astounds me, and you act out of love for everyone, such and inspiriation!!

1.  I have been insanely busy this week.  I’ve been up late working til 12:30-1:00am.  I have so many exciting things I want to offer my clients and it takes quite a bit of legwork to get it there.  Plus, I’ve had some BEAUTIFUL sessions lately and seeing these lovely images makes me want to make sure they are as perfect as I can make them!  …the perfectionist in my loves the art of photography and dance.

2.  I had the week off from teaching because we had an AMAZING recital last week!  If you are a friend of mine on facebook you may have seen a few photos of me posted by others.  I’m so very proud of my dancers and their accomplishments!  They should be so proud!!  …well, except for the ones with bumps in their buns the first show… still not over that one yet. 

3.  I start back to teaching next week and am stoked for the fact that my kids are going to progress so much this summer!!

4.  Carter has discovered Thomas the Tank Engine.  I broke down and bought him a small train track to put on our coffee table and he has a couple trains, he’s in heaven!

Last night I met up with J and D to take some maternity portraits.  Talk about a great couple.  So fun, so funny, so drop dead gorgeous.   Most often I edit photos and it either screams color or black and white to me.  This first one I just could not decide.  So I’m posting both  

I can not WAIT for the newborn shoot!  I love my job!!!
