My mom has a CT scan and an appointment with her oncologist “Dr. C” tomorrow.  She’s got a long day planned at Moffit that starts off with her drinking some LOVELY radioactive Tang before her CT scan and capping off with a planned infusion of FOLFURI (her treatment protocol).  She has been ill with bronchitis for 2 weeks and is just plum wore out from cancer, chemo, and bronchitis.

Think positively for her tomorrow!  We’re praying for LOW CEA numbers and shrinking tumors!!

Look at that!  2 blog posts 2 days in a row!  I’m getting back on track!

1.  Our household is finally getting well.  Richie and Carter are back to normal, and I’m feeling much better than 2 days ago, but am battling some wicked dizziness today.

2.  Mom has a BIG appointment on Monday at Moffitt Cancer Center.  She has a CT scan and CEA blood draw (tumor markers) and we are praying for AMAZING MIRACULOUS results!  If you’re the praying kind, we’d certainly appreciate it!

3.  We’re going to head back to Ft. Wilderness next Saturday!  Richie has a ball tournament at Disney’s Sports Complex and we thought this was a great little weekend trip for us!

4.  Mt. Laundrymore has erupted in my laundry room from vacation… I’m still not caught up.  But, is one EVER caught up on laundry?

5.  Stay tuned to the blog in the coming days for some Disney pics and product pics!

Phew!  It’s been a while since I updated and it has been busy here!!!  Richie, Carter and I got away for a long weekend in Disney’s Ft. Wilderness campground!  We went camping!  …and by camping I mean, in my in-laws motorhome with 2 a/c’s, electricity, running water, toilets, and functional kitchen!  What can I say, I’d never make it on Survivor!  haha!  I have lots of pictures to go through, but I’m making myself finish up a couple client sessions first.

Carter is trying so hard to talk more.  He babbles to himself a lot, and his current favorite word is “uh-oh!!!!”  but you have to say it like you just dropped a diamond ring down the toilet.  It’s way too cute.

I am happy to announce my 2009 Investment Pricing list.  PORTFOLIO BUILDING SPECIAL!!!!!  Waived creative session fee and 50% off all prints!!  While I build my business is a fantastic opportunity to save on great portraiture for you!!  Drop me an email at JenniferMauren@gmail.com for all the specifics!!

We’ve had a case of the sickies here in our house the end of this week.  First Carter, now Richie.  So, this post was supposed to go up yesterday, but alas, it’s late.  What can I say.  Life happens!

1)  I’m so very grateful, but I have been one busy bee this week.  6 sessions in 7 days!  Phew!  Now to keep editing!   No complaints here!  I’m lovin’ it!

2)  Carter has been sick since Wednesday.  While he’s feeling better today, the whininess remains…  oy vey!!

3)  We’re hosting Easter tomorrow!  Lots of good food, swimming, and family fun tomorrow!  YAY!

4)  Would you believe I haven’t even gotten the Easter baskets down yet?  We normally decorate for the holiday a month in advance.  Oops!!

5)  Richie porbably wouldn’t like me bragging, but he won the homerun award this season in softball and played for the All-star game last night!  So proud of you, babe!!!

Meet little man, J!!  He is the son of Carter’s swim instructor!  Carter and J are only about 3 weeks apart in age and are quite good buddies!  I met them at the park last night to capture J’s baby blues!  This kid is FAST!!  He gave me a real workout, but I think it was worth it, don’t you?

Yesterday I had the honor of capturing little Miss B.  Her mom and I (and her sisters) danced together eons ago in another life, and hadn’t seen each other in years!  I am so blessed to get to reconnect with old friends (usually via the internet), and in this case capture her beautiful daughter, B!   This is such a special family!  Oh, and lets not forget, little Miss B is a redhead!!!  Be still my heart!!  Let’s not forget her adorable big sister!  She likes to act shy, but she’s a true princess at heart!  Here’s your sneak peek guys!  Enjoy!  Don’t forget to leave a comment!

I mentioned last week that Carter has been taking swimming lessons.  He has been enrolled in Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) lessons with Megan Zoller.  This is his 5th week of lessons and he’s doing swimmingly (sorry, bad pun).   I am so impressed!  Megan is an amazing instructor, and well, I’m a little proud of her student too!  ;)    Carter took lessons with her when he was 10 months old and learned to float.  Now that he’s walking and it’s swim season here, he’s learning to swim/float/swim.  This means he swims for a little ways, rolls over in a float to rest, then flips back over to continue swimming.  Lather, rinse, repeat until he gets himself to the side of the pool.  Here’s a glimps of a recent lesson!!

Last night I got together with Amanda and Jason!  They are recently engaged and such a fun couple!  We actually ran into them the night before at the Seafood Fest!  Here’s a glimpse from their session!

Friday night, Jill (of Stage Door Studios in Sarasota, FL) came over for some headshots and conversation!  I think both were a success!!  Check out her eyes!  Aren’t they to die for!  No fancy photoshop on those baby blues!  That’s all her!  Amazing!

As I’m making some changes to the blog to keep it growing, it’s going to (eventually) be a place for my personal blogging and business blogging.  So, here’s my 5 on Friday.  Just 5 random things!

1)  In my “other life” as a ballet teacher all of my dances are choreographed already!  WOOT!

2)  Carter is taking ISR swimming lessons and is doing GREAT with his instructor, Megan Zoller.  Keep watching the blog for some photo proof of his swimming in the next couple days!

3)  Carter is somewhat of a picky eater (ok, he’s DEFINITELY a picky eater).  Feel free to leave a comment on foods your 18 month old loved, because we’re in a rut here!

4)  I have a bad habit of leaving the TV on the channel other people had it on.  For instance, right now, Playhouse Disney is playing and I haven’t changed the channel… yet.  Last night it was the discovery channel logging show that Richie left on.

5)  Today is the last day of teaching because it’s spring break here!!!   YAHOO!!

Phew!  Made it!  Come back soon to see a sneak peak of Jill’s headshots and some swimming photos!
